Competitions provide the following benefits:
- Provide brewers valuable feedback on how to improve
- Judges improve their tasting and evaluating skills
- Promote beer literacy and appreciation
- Recognize brewing excellence

The ALES club is the proud host of the NHC 1st round Canadian Regional Qualifier/ALES Open Homebrew Competition.  We also have several "club only" competitions throughout the year, and we do our best to support other open competitions across Canada.
